Ingredients
2 racks of pork ribs
1 bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
2 2L bottles of Coca-Cola
¾ cup soy sauce
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup blackstrap molasses
6 cloves garlic
1 bunch of fresh thyme
Rub (we recommend the MEATER Madness Bundle)
Equipment
Slow Cooker
Knife
Paper Towel
Instructions
-
Let’s start by prepping those ribs! Flip them over and remove the membrane from the underside. Just slice along the bone with a knife, grab a small paper towel for grip, and peel it right off.
-
Next, season the ribs with your favorite rub. We recommend checking out the MEATER Madness Bundle to help you to nail this crazy cook. It even includes one of our favorite rubs!
-
Once your ribs are generously seasoned, turn them onto their side and roll them up, almost like a spiral, to fit them into the slow cooker.
-
Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker, but be careful when adding the cola soda. Make sure to pour it smooth and steady so it doesn’t foam over and create a mess!
-
It’s time to get cookin’. Insert your MEATER Pro probe into the meat of the ribs, in between two of the bones.
-
In the MEATER app, select the Pork Ribs option and set the internal cook temperature to Fall Apart temperature (203°F or 95°C).
-
Now, let the magic happen. Set your slow cooker to High and let the MEATER app track the temp while you sit back and relax.
-
When the MEATER app notifies you that your cook has finished, you’re done! Enjoy your tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs with zero guesswork.
